A lithium manganese dioxide battery used in remote controls, calculators, wrist and alarm clocks, and LED flashlights.
Lithium batteries are characterized by a long storage time if their storage temperature does not exceed +30°C. Lithium batteries operate in a wide temperature range from -30°C to +70°C. The cathode of the battery is manganese dioxide, the anode is metallic lithium.
Batteries can leak, overheat and even explode if mishandled. Therefore, the following rules must be observed:
- Never short-circuit;
- Always insert the batteries into the battery holder with the correct polarity;
- Do not use batteries from different manufacturers at the same time;
- Do not use new and used batteries at the same time;
- Do not heat, weld or throw batteries into fire;
- Do not squeeze, deform or open the battery;
- Do not allow children to change the batteries without the presence of an adult;
- If someone has swallowed the battery, call an ambulance or doctor immediately;
- These lithium batteries are not rechargeable;
- Charging these lithium batteries can cause leakage as well as explosion.
